What an analysis finds

Nine findings from the public record.
No company named.

Each comes from a Taza analysis of a real company, read product line by product line. We take the name off. We keep the source, the date we retrieved it, and how strong the evidence is.

How to read each finding

Risk. A rule that binds, a scope that catches, a commitment not reported.

Value. A cost removed, or demand that arrives sooner.

Tier

The evidence tier the analysis assigned, where it assigned one: Verified or Inferred.

Rules are cited as at the date shown. Several have taken effect since.

Finding 01
Stated Position
Consumer goods

A major consumer-goods maker has never used the phrase “producer responsibility” in a filing.

The same search across all annual filers returns 402 results. From 1 January 2027 at the latest, California will only let it sell packaged goods if it takes part in an approved packaging-responsibility plan.

Finding 02
Demand Map
Property services

Six policies that drove demand for a property-services firm were cut, delayed, or eased in 2025 and 2026.

A seventh, the SEC climate rule, faces a proposal to rescind it entirely. Policy removes demand as well as creating it.

Finding 03
Peer Map
Consumer goods

The peer group used to set executive pay shares only two companies with the real operating peers.

It leaves out both closest competitors. The pay group is built around talent and revenue scale, not around who the company competes with.

Finding 04
Regulatory Map
Footwear and apparel

Cattle leather is no longer covered by the EU deforestation rule.

The change was published on 17 September 2026, so leather-heavy brands no longer need a due-diligence statement under that rule for leather. The question returns at the rule’s 2030 review. Knowing where not to spend is a finding too.

Finding 05
Reputation
Consumer goods

Disclosure is deep where the goal is to cut against a baseline. It is almost empty where the goal is to restore.

Read across 76 indicators, the company’s blanks cluster where the measure is to restore, contribute, or return. A blank is a finding: it shows where the programme has not reached.

Finding 06
Regulatory Map
Education technology

Reading the scope text moves an edtech holding’s customer deadline forward a year.

Large school districts are not “special districts”, so their web content must meet the accessibility standard by 26 April 2027, not 2028. That can bring the holding’s customer demand forward; the analysis marks that link as inferred.

Inferred

Finding 07
Regulatory Map
Paper products

Searching the EU deforestation rule for a tissue product’s code finds nothing. The product can still be in scope.

Pulp and paper are listed by chapter, not by product code, so the search is a false negative. Coverage depends on how much of the fibre is virgin rather than recycled.

Finding 08
Stated Position
Footwear

EU rules on environmental claims now apply. A footwear brand still shows its 2025 targets as “not reported”.

Its last published result was less than half of its target. A commitment made and not reported against is a finding, and often a louder one than a disclosure.

Finding 09
Providers
Packaging

Nine providers grade packaging recyclability. None shows coverage of all three fee regimes.

Germany, Italy, and the US states each price the grade. Covering all three is a project to scope across providers, not a service to buy from one.

Source: each provider’s own public pages, 23 September 2026. Providers are matched on fit, never ranked against each other.

Your company, or one you hold

The same analysis, with the name left on.

A Baseline takes about 24 hours, from the public record. Nothing is needed from you or from the company.

Findings are drawn from Taza analyses on the public record. Companies are not named. Not investment advice.
